Security will always be a top priority in every decision we make, and we incorporate multiple layers of protection, using the most reliable and effective security technologies available to keep your funds secure.
Xago’s platform and gateway have been architected with processes and tools that ensure the security and stability of our systems. We have partnered with technology vendors to ensure we can mitigate cyber threats and protect our clients assets and data at all times.
We also use encrypted SSL (https) to encrypt and secure our website’s traffic and conduct periodical stress tests and security audits to ensure compliance with the strictest security standards. Our environment is hosted on Amazon Web Services (“AWS”). AWS has a proven track record for physical security and internal controls.
Organisational Security and Compliance
At Xago we take a risk-based approach to organisational security. We have a strong culture of compliance in our organisation and ensure at all times that team communication and data is securely managed and stored. Our employees have security front of mind in everything they do.
Xago has appointed a Compliance Officer to monitor and evaluate transactions on the Xago gateway to prevent money laundering and fraud and ensure Know-Your-Customer (KYC) identification. We have also partnered with a highly respected third party service provider, DocFox, to manage all our FICA processing.
We are a registered system operator of the Payment Association of South Africa (PASA), reference number SO001187.
We enforce two-factor authentication, based on one-time password tokens, which is an additional security feature on the Xago Gateway. This ensures no user can login, transact, manage beneficiaries and account details without using a second layer of security. Whilst it may seem cumbersome it greatly reduces the risk of unauthorised access or transacting on your account.
